Vincenza “Enza” Fuzio has a passion for eyewear. Now, she’s launched her own opticians in the heart of Luxembourg. Decorated with graffiti and objets d’art.

It’s never too late to make your dream of starting your own business come true. Vincenza Fuzio should know: at almost 50, she set up her own opticians in the heart of Luxembourg, after having originally worked as an employee in the same sector.

“I had worked in an opticians in the city since I was 19. But the owners retired and the store closed,” she explains. “I have been passionate about this profession since my childhood, and I could not imagine doing anything else.”

Driven by her passion, “Enza” Fuzio found a new, smaller place, and opened a shop that has a very different vibe from a traditional opticians. It is colourful and vibrant, and filled with works of art.

A friendly atmosphere is key:

“I offer products that cannot be found elsewhere. In addition, our glasses are fitted on site, in the workshop, as are the lenses. Our products truly are ‘made in Luxembourg’!”

Inspired by the work of artists she loves, the entrepreneur has no shortage of ideas, not least of which is to launch her own eyewear collection – her own original way of showing what Luxembourg has to offer.
