172 companies certified “Made in Luxembourg” in 2025: the label celebrates local excellence
The joint ‘Made in Luxembourg’ certificate ceremony once again highlighted national expertise. Gathered on 12 February 2026 at the Chamber of Commerce, the 172 companies that obtained their label during the previous year were recognised for the quality of their products and services and for their contribution to Luxembourg’s economic attractiveness.
The companies received their certificates from Lex Delles, Minister for the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, Carlo Thelen, Director General of the Chamber of Commerce, and Tom Wirion, Director General of the Chamber of Skilled Trades and crafts, during a ceremony co-organised by the two professional chambers. They thus join a community of more than 2,000 certified companies that actively contribute to the vitality and dynamism of Luxembourg’s economic ecosystem.
‘Made in Luxembourg’: promoting local excellence since 1984
Created in 1984, the ‘Made in Luxembourg’ label is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts. Initially intended for industrial and craft products, it now reflects the diversity of the Luxembourg economy, also covering services, emerging technologies and creative sectors. It thus embodies a modern, open and constantly evolving Luxembourg.
Since its creation, its objective has remained unchanged: to highlight the Luxembourg origin of the products and services offered by certified companies, promote local expertise and provide consumers with a clear benchmark of quality and reliability. The label is also a major competitive advantage for companies, both on the domestic and international markets, in an increasingly demanding and highly competitive economic environment.
The label also embodies the dynamic nature of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, which focuses on innovation and regional roots as a marker of identity and a driver of development. It encourages certified companies to establish themselves in a changing market and seize new opportunities. This dynamic is fully reflected in the 2025 edition, which has seen exceptional participation. As Carlo Thelen, Director General of the Chamber of Commerce, points out: ‘This strong participation demonstrates the dynamism of our economy and underlines the importance of this label in Luxembourg’s economic life.’
A highlight marked by innovation
During the ceremony, Cécile Lorenzini, Director of Marketing and Communications at Luxinnovation, shared her experience in a speech devoted to the evolution of brand strategies at a time when artificial intelligence is profoundly transforming consumer habits, professions and expectations. She asked the central question: ‘What is a brand today?’ While artificial intelligence opens up new possibilities in terms of automation, personalisation and creation, it also requires companies to find the right balance between technological innovation and brand identity.
The ‘Made in Luxembourg’ label is now awarded once a year at a joint ceremony organised by the Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts.
The next ceremony is scheduled for 2027 at the premises of the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts.
